About FireMate
FireMate Software Pty Ltd is a business that specialises in developing digital products for Fire Protection businesses.
Fire protection specialists use FireMate’s web and mobile applications to ensure the safety of buildings and infrastructure.
Designed in alignment with Australia’s complex regulatory and legislative fire protection requirements, FireMate automates and facilitates essential activities and compliance reporting.
Context
2012 - 2019
FireMate Software Pty Ltd was founded by experienced Fire Protection industry professionals.
Over 7 years, the team of industry experts grew their business, product and customer base to a point that garnered international attention.
Beginning of 2020
In early 2020 FireMate’s local success resulted in a majority acquisition by a successful global organisation, Halma PLC.
2020
As a part of FireMate’s acquisition, FireMate was required to formally establish its technical team by hiring an experienced CTO to grow and lead the product team and upgrade its aging product suite and infrastructure.
Enter Damien. After joining FireMate, he quickly established the scale of work ahead for FireMate and identified a need to hire a Product Designer to help the team achieve their lofty goals.
